Lord Padraig has experienced very little tragedy in his life, bar his brief foray into the theatrical arts (there are ordinances city-wide that forbid speaking of some his more memorable flops, though it is very rarely enforced). His peerage as the only scion of the Icedrake family has carried him financially through most of life and politics found him his wife, Kari Goldspinner, a Dwarven woman from Hammerfast, the daughter of an old a powerful family and a marriage which would ensure economic and political co-operation throughout the Vale. While Padraig was initially cool towards the wife forced on him by his family he warmed to her as they discovered their mutual love of the arts. They currently have one young 7 year old daughter named Hilde Gold-Drake and Kari is pregnant with a second child.
